Automatically, in the background. Screenshot a school event poster or a gift idea, and omemo files it before you forget. Your older screenshots will also get pulled from your local device library.

New users start with a recent window of past screenshots. Invite friends to extend how far back omemo can reach. Nothing is ever deleted.

omemo only imports screenshots: not regular photos, selfies, or videos. It also skips duplicates and anything filtered by your privacy settings.

Yes, but how far back depends on your invite progress. Go to Profile › History to see your current range.

Yes on fresh install. Then background refresh handles new screenshots. For the fastest sync, keep Background App Refresh on in iOS Settings.

Sign in with the same account. Your omemo library is in the Cloud, so everything comes back.

No. Never. omemo reads only screenshots. Photos, selfies, and videos are ignored before anything leaves your phone.

No. omemo may use AI models — including large language models — to read your screenshots and turn them into cards, but those models process your content only to return a result to you. They do not retain your screenshots, they are not trained on your data, and the screenshot is not tied to your identity when it is analyzed.

omemo may use large language model providers for processing, but any provider we use is bound by contract to handle your screenshots only on our instructions: they cannot keep them, cannot use them to train their models, and do not receive any information that ties a screenshot back to you.

Health screenshots are filtered out on your device by default. Wallet and finance screenshots are filtered out too, unless you turn them on in Profile › Sensitive content.

Encrypted copies are stored securely in the cloud so you can access them across devices. Originals stay in your iPhone Photos until you clean them.

Only you. Shared collections are visible only to people you send the link to.

Go to Profile › Delete account. This permanently removes all your screenshots, collections, and profile data from our servers.

omemo works in English, French, and Spanish. More languages will come over time.

Yes. Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, web pages, emails, messages... if it's a screenshot, omemo can usually understand it.

Yes. Turn on "Copy contacts to iPhone" in Profile. Screenshot a parent's number from a class chat or a business card, and omemo writes the contact to Contacts without reading your existing address book.

Yes. Connect Google Calendar in Profile. Events from screenshots — flights, concerts, appointments — can be added automatically.

Yes. Turn on "Push lists to Reminders" and omemo can send recipe ingredients or any list straight to Apple Reminders.

Only if you want distance-to-place or nearby notifications. Location is read only while you're in the app unless you opt into background location for nearby alerts.

Helpful nudges about things you saved: price drops, nearby restaurants or spots, and reminders about screenshots you haven't opened yet.

If you save a shopping item, omemo watches for price changes and notifies you when it drops meaningfully.

When you're near a restaurant or spot you saved, omemo can ping you so you don't forget. This needs background location, which you can decline.

Yes. You can manage them in iOS Settings › Notifications › omemo, or in the app's Profile section.

No. omemo sends only a few relevant nudges per day. Urgent alerts like price drops are capped so they don't overwhelm you.

A folder of screenshots grouped around something you want to do: a family trip, a kids' birthday wishlist, a meal-planning recipe list, or restaurants to try.

A smart collection gathers matching screenshots automatically when you describe what you want, like "things I saved about Lisbon" or "books to read this winter."

Yes. Share a collection as a simple link. Anyone with the link can view it, even if they don't have omemo.

Yes. Each card has its own share link.

Not by default. You can delete or unshare a collection anytime.

Yes. Once screenshots are backed up, omemo can move the originals to your iPhone's Recently Deleted folder in one tap. Great for clearing out a cluttered camera roll. Your cards stay safe in omemo.

It goes to Recently Deleted first, so iOS keeps it for about 30 days before permanent removal.

No. Your omemo library stays intact. Only the camera-roll copy is removed.

Yes. Open any card and save the original image back to Photos.

Go to Profile › Account settings. You can update your email, change your password, or delete your account there.

Yes. Sign in on each device with the same account. Your library syncs automatically.

Your data stays in the cloud. Reinstall and sign in to pick up where you left off.

Make sure omemo has full Photos access and Background App Refresh is on. Also check Profile › Sensitive content — some screenshots may be filtered locally.

Large first-time imports can take a while. Keep the app open and on Wi-Fi for the fastest sync.

Tap "Not quite right?" at the bottom of the card. The team reviews reports to improve accuracy.

Use the search tab or check your category filters. If it's outside your import history range, invite a friend to extend it.
