About
We screenshot the things we don't want to forget. omemo turns those tiny moments of intention into something useful.
We call it Intent Intelligence.

What is omemo?
omemo is an iPhone app that automatically organizes your screenshots into a searchable library. It reads every screenshot, understands what it is about, restores the link behind it, and brings it back when it matters.
It works on iPhone, it is free to download, and it launched in 2026. You can see how the screenshot organizer works, browse everything it does, or look at the types of screenshots it understands.
Why
Screenshots became our simplest way to say: "not now, but don't let me forget this".
A restaurant to try. Something to buy. An article for later. A movie someone recommended. A place you want to go. We take the screenshot and move on.
The problem is that most screenshots never become anything more than pixels in a camera roll. omemo was built to change that.
There’s a reason screenshots are so easy to forget.
Research increasingly suggests that taking a screenshot can change how we remember the thing we saved.

What
omemo exists to bridge the gap between captured intent and completed action.
Screenshots are where intent goes when people cannot act immediately because of overload, timing, or availability. Existing systems treat screenshots as images. omemo treats them as signals: expressions of something the user cared about, but couldn't resolve yet.
Our goal is to make that intent durable, intelligible, and actionable over time.

How
omemo uses proprietary agentic AI to instantly understand the intent behind your snap:
- Design Vignettes: snapshots instantly transform into sleek, custom design cards.
- Autonomous Context: lost links, locations, and details are quietly restored in the background.
- Perfect Timing: saved moments resurface naturally when your mind is actually free.
Who

omemo was started in 2026 by Cédric Montet.
Before omemo, he founded Libcast and api.video, grew it into a global video infrastructure company, raised more than $16M, built a team of 50+, and eventually sold the company.
omemo the app, and the OMEMO protocol
The name is also used by OMEMO, an end-to-end encryption protocol for XMPP messaging. They are unrelated: omemo is an iPhone app that organizes your screenshots, made by an independent company at omemo.app.
